Ok! so I'm finally back!!... it's great to be back... things i now know about a country called Cambodia, or Cambodge, or Kampuchea..

1) They party at 8pm.
2) They love to sing the same karaoke songs
3) They like to dance their national dance around something be it a tree or lamppost
4) They eat to live
5) Villagers are friendly and sincere people
6) Police are corrupt
7) They love to toast people
8) They love to ask people to dance with them, refer to 3)

some excerpts from my YEP journal

- i went to the market to buy food to cook for dinner. pillioned a scooter with a rider and another pillion, w/o helmet. i did not dare to sleep.

- bathed in a sarong in the open with kids staring and laughing like we are some specimens. next time when u visit the zoo, don't laugh at the elephant when it is taking a bath.

- geckos, snakes, crickets, flies, big grasshoppers, preying mantis all scare the hell out of girls. but humans are highly adaptable. the screams subsided nearing the end of the YEP.

- in siem reap, a pub named itself Angkor What? talk about stealing trademarks.

- met SMU friends ray shumz may san in siem reap too... talk about a small world.

We do become more moronic when the protein level is down.

This trip has definitely widened my horizons. We city people are fortunate fools. I will recommend everyone to go for a YEP. It's enriching.
